Thank you. It means the world to me that you had that deep of a response. This has been my favorite short story to write. I like to think justice still exists in the world even if sometimes it’s hard to see.

Really great —the seasoned, wisened Detective thinking through the rationale, knowing the lies, hating the previous police responses. Masterful.

Thank you, sir! I wanted to explore the concept of “right” vs “legal” and what happens when we don’t rigidly apply the law in the pursuit of broader justice. A lot packed in that and some real pitfalls. But I wanted to explore that space. Glad you enjoyed reading it!

A really interesting read. Very tense, considering all the ways in which interviews of this sort can go when people don't call a lawyer.
